Last year, I blogged on the apostle Paul and the possibility that his father was a Gentile, which colored his approach the gospel in a positive (divinely appointed) kind of way.

This helps inform us when studying the book of Luke, which we are doing at Bedford Road, so I think it is worth considering the post.
