PRIDE – placing yourself above all others.

Read Psalm 10:2-11

Pride is a smug satisfaction with self. It declares your own desires to be your god. Often we do not see it as it is because our pride requires us to justify everything we do.

Pride approaches everything pragmatically. Anything and everything is okay because it advances ME. Even God is reduced to a version of me.

God, forgive me for worshiping myself. Forgive me for living for myself and calling it your will.
