Erik has served as our teaching pastor since November 2004. Before joining us, he was the assistant pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Litchfield, NH, for three years. In 2009-2010, he led Heritage Baptist Church and Grace Baptist Church through the process of merger that produced Bedford Road.
Short Biography
Erik was born in Lynchburg, Virginia, while his father was completing his undergraduate studies at what is now Liberty University. In 1977, his father started a church in Belvidere, New Jersey. After fourteen years of ministry there, the family moved to Franklin, Massachusetts, where Erik's father still pastors.
After graduating from Blackstone Valley Baptist Academy in Cumberland, Rhode Island, in 1994, Erik attended Baptist Bible College East (not Boston Baptist College). He graduated in 1998 and moved to New Hampshire. He and his wife Nichole have been married since 1999.
Writings
Having completed his PhD in Bible Exposition, Erik is in the process of developing a local church-based curriculum called Aperture. This curriculum is designed to equip "lay" Bible study leaders in the church with the tools to go deeper in Biblical studies.
Some of Erik's writings from his Mdiv and PhD studies are available on his academia.edu page. In addition, he has written a number of Lenten devotions for the congregation over the years.
