Definition

GLUTTONY – literally “to gulp down” or “to swallow.” To withhold from others in need so you may be over filled.

Read Ephesians 4:28

Since gluttony is robbing yourself of the blessing of giving from the overflow, this verse is particularly applicable. Do we put as much effort into giving away as we do into accumulating? It is not enough to simply stop stealing, we must also actively pursue the right actions.

What do you want me to do with the substance I have consumed in excess? I will listen for your direction, God, and then I will do it with all I am.
