In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. [Ephesians 1:7-10]

We live our lives divided, and we were not created for this chaos. It is the source of all the evil in our world. Humanity has a giant, gaping wound that requires medical attention.

This wound is characteristic of all of us. No one has overcome it, except for Jesus. If we had overcome it, we would glory in our ability to overcome. But Jesus? He calls us all to be gathered together in him. He gives us his perfection to unite us – both individually and as a people.

I cannot speak for the rest of the world, but God, I need your healing. Everything beautiful and good is beyond my reach without you touching me and drawing my attention beyond this wounded world.
