What is the most sacred thing you have ever encountered? Where the sacred is, God is. The two are inseparable. And the sacred can be found just about anywhere. But to encounter God in the sacred, it is not only necessary that He be there.

The issue is not whether God is present but whether I am. If I am not in the moment, then I am missing part of what God is in that moment; and since God is a unity, without division or pieces, to miss part of what he is doing is to miss all of what he is doing.

God, you’re SO DEMANDING! I can’t just lay down everything I have going on and focus only on you. There’s just no way! Wow, that sounds really stupid when I say it out loud.
