Thus saith the LORD, Stand in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and you shall find rest for your souls.

But they said, We will not walk therein…We will not hearken.

Therefore hear, nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them. Hear, O earth!

Behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it. [Jeremiah 6:16-19]

Although the path is old, God’s invitation to all men and women is just as ancient. This is not a road for the select few. It is open to everyone – regardless of what paths they walked before coming to God’s ancient path. Are there people in your life who need to walk in the ancient way? Rather than inviting them to a religious experience, what if you invited them to journey with you on an ancient road?

Everyone? Really? There are some people I would like to exclude from the Way. But that’s not your M.O. You can’t stand the idea of anyone slipping into eternity without at least an opportunity to be reconnected with you. Give me the courage to be your hands, feet, and mouth in offering them that opportunity.
