At Bedford Road, we have every intention of complying with the guidance provided to us by Governor Sununu, as this is a matter of health and safety. You can read the New Hampshire guidelines, published on May 29, 2020, by clicking the button below. The most recent revision on March 24, 2021, allows for 100% occupancy as long as sanitation and safe distance practices continue to be observed.
Plan for Occupancy
REVISED 3/25/2021
Once the weather is warm enough, we will be setting up semi-permanent seating in the side parking lot. We will be planning to worship outside as regularly as possible, when the weather permits.
When worshipping indoors, the state guidelines allow for 100% occupancy as long as social distancing and sanitation requirements are met.
- People should self-screen with the familiar questions about health and travel prior to participating in person.
- Our sanctuary will be set up with full rows of seating, with 2m distance from seat back to seat back. This distance will not be set laterally. People should space out provide social distance or wear masks if seated together.
- Overflow seating will be set up in the fellowship hall with a real time video stream.
- Services will be streamed on the church website via Youtube, with a link provided on Facebook and other outlets.
REVISED 9/1/2020
Sunday, we had a conversation for possible options including sign-up sheets, multiple services and other options. After discussion, the elders have elected to choose the following plan:
- Our default during the occupancy limitation will be to have services outside in the field. People are encouraged to bring their own outdoor seating. We will maintain social distance.
- In the case of bad weather, we will stream the service downstairs to the fellowship hall as an overflow. This will allow us to add an additional 35 seats, so we will have a total of 100 available seats while meeting. (We have an occupancy of 169 upstairs and 90 downstairs, so at 50% we have 85 upstairs and 45 downstairs.)
Services are streamed on Youtube and Facebook for those unable to attend.
During Worship Services
- Self-screen before entering. If you are sick, please stay home.
- It is recommended that people in high risk categories (elderly, immunocompromised) watch from home.
- Traffic into the sanctuary is one way. Stay to your right (so, people going the other direction will always be to your left).
- Maintain physical distance (6’) among family units. Not all seats are 6' apart. Use your judgment in seating preferences.
- Practice good hygiene. Hand sanitizer is available.
- Masks covering nose and mouth should be worn when entering/exiting and moving around. Not required once seated.
- Sit in the chair grouping closest to your family unit size, to maximize space usage.
- Refrain from physical contact outside of your family unit.
- Doors will be propped open. Please do not close them.
- Offering baskets are located at the entrance and exit, on tables.
- Communion elements are located at the entrance only.
- Please socialize outside of the building, both before and after service, where there is more space.
- We are unable to permit shared food and drink during services, so there is no coffee or snacks permitted.
- There is no children’s ministry, but nursery is provided for those interested in taking advantage of it.
