I believe the Ladies Ministry has supported some of the objectives as reviewed during the leadership meetings last fall.
First, by providing opportunity to encourage Spiritual growth. Our monthly meetings of approximately15-20 ladies are encouraged to prepare lessons from a teaching guide book "Becoming A Woman of Strength" by Cynthia Heald . The scripture focus from this study comes from 2 Chronicles 16:9 "The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him". During the year there have been opportunities to allow others to facilitate a group discussion, as to build confidence in them. Prayer with and for others was always encouraged, as well as identifying others needs.
In November we had an opportunity to minister to Hannah who needed tangeable support for child care before, during and after the birth of her son Nathaniel. Later we celebrated his life with a shower of blessings. Also, there was involvement with a farewell luncheon for the Gilmans. It has been noted there have been Individual ladies who have ministered to people needs in our congregation whether it was a meal, a ride, a visit or prayer.
We trust meeting together has helped build relationships amongst the women so they can continue to support one another and provide encouragement, and prayer. And from the study, we trust ladies have found comfort and blessing from God's desire to equip them when facing difficulties in life.
Now that we need to meet remotely due to COVID-19 virus we hope the same principles will apply. Our last meeting is slated for May on ZOOM with hopes to resume meeting at church in the fall with a similar study format.
Many thanks to such a devoted leadership team, Janet Wittenberg, June Porpunderwala, and Heather Biron
Blessings,
Loni Bragdon (for ladies ministry)
